Who/What Controls Us?

"Control what you can control....so that...what you can not control....but desire....will come true.."
I can not take honors for this simple but complex statement.  When I first heard this I did not recognize the secrets it contains.

There are things in life I desire to happen.   Often our lives are made up of many things out of our control.  These are the things which occupy our attention.   They frustrate us to the point of blocking our ability to focus on what we can control. 

If I focus on what I can control....mostly this involves my attitude towards life.  I will be prepared to take full advantage of what comes to me.   What is good for my life.

Writers speak of "buying up the opportunity."  This is not speaking of a financial purchase.   Rather seizing the moment.  Great coaches tell their players to stay in the "now."  Don't get caught up in the fakes.  Stay in your lanes.  "Control what you can control."  How many opportunities have been missed because I was not in the "now?"  Not in my lane in my life?  Thankfully God does not keep score.  He starts over with me each day.
